The most exciting time of the year is nearly upon us! Yes that’s right, registration for the APNA annual conference Nurses | the heart of primary health care are now open. This is our eighth year and the program looks amazing. The Conference Committee and the APNA team have done truly wonderful work attracting great nurse leaders from Australia and around the world to present on some of the most important issues in primary health care.
To complement our academic program, there will also be opportunities for targeted, forward-looking professional and clinical skills development in our pre-conference workshops. The rich array of conference program sessions also help reflect the diverse nature of primary health care nursing. APNA has invited the 2015 Australian of the Year, Ms Rosie Batty to speak to us about domestic violence and the integral role of nurses.
The key streams will include Quality and Safety, Focus on the Future, Integrating Care, Health Leadership and Advance Your Profession. We have been fortunate to secure the very accomplished nursing leader, Mr Brian Dolan, as the master of ceremonies. Whilst you enjoy the educational input and the networking don’t forget the social event of the year, the APNA Back to the 80s Gala Dinner. I’m very looking forward to meeting as many you as possible. See you there!
